Comfort Panel Pro

Completely IP65-protected HMI devices for visualization and automation without control cabinets. High performance and functionality and numerous integrated interfaces, they offer the greatest possible convenience for high-end applications and are especially suited for realizing powerful visualization tasks in machine-related areas. With the benefit of the flexible installation options – directly on the machine through special adapters, on a supporting foot, or on a bracket system – the user can easily operate the panels and always has the perfect view of both the panel and the process.

Comfort Panels INOX and INOX PCT

Comfort Panels with touch screens and stainless steel fronts are designed for operator control and monitoring of food processing machines in the food, beverages and tobacco industry as well as in the pharmaceutical industry, fine chemicals and in other hygiene areas. They are based on DIN EN 1672-2 “Food processing machinery – Safety and hygiene requirements”. The optimized frame profile and almost flush-mounting of the device on the control cabinet allow liquids to run off. INOX PCT devices have a glass front and a projective capacitive touch sensor.

Comfort Panels Outdoor

The SIMATIC HMI Comfort Outdoor Panels have been developed specifically for demanding HMI applications under extreme ambient conditions. This makes operation and monitoring extremely flexible – for every outdoor area. Whether in the oil and gas industry, on ships or in refrigerated warehouses: SIMATIC HMI Comfort Outdoor Panels, with 7- or 15-inch daylight readable widescreen display, provide everything you need for outdoor operation and monitoring. Reliable operation in a wide temperature range from -30 °C to +60 °C, for example in refrigerated warehouses or in desert regions. High vibration and shock resistance, for example for use in vehicles or in the stamping machine and press sector. Panel front in IP66 for high degree of protection against dust and water penetration, for example for use in the mining industry or on ships. High UV resistance for long-term availability of function and optics, for example when used in mountain regions or close to the equator. Bonded display (as tough as laminated safety glass) for maximum protection against air humidity (90%), condensation and thermal stresses, for example for use in tropical zones. Dazzle-free display with no reflections and viewing angle up to 170° from all directions, for fatigue-free operation and monitoring. Daylight readable display with automatic or manual dimming, for the right contrast and perfect vision.

Comfort panels Standards-SIPLUS

Resistance to aggressive chemical, biological, and mechanically active gases and salt mist. Protected from condensation (ice formation is allowed!). High reliability across an extended temperature range (-25°C to +70°C), in the start-up phase as well as during operation. Flexible adaptation to any application thanks to extended site altitude from –1000 to + 5000 meters. High productivity and investment protection through minimal downtimes and performance losses.

Fail-safe Mobile Panels

The device versions with an emergency stop/stop pushbutton on the top and an acknowledgment button on the back of the device permit a flexible configuration of the safety solution. The emergency stop button is only active and illuminated in red when the device is connected to a safety circuit via the connection box. The devices support the evaluation of the safety elements via hard-wired safety relays (e.g. SIRIUS 3SK1) and via PROFIsafe with fail-safe controllers (such as SIMATIC S7-1500F). Available with 4“ to 9“.

Standard Mobile panels

When mobile operator control is required but failsafe functionality is not needed the Mobile Panel standard devices are employed. Without the emergency button on top and the acknowledgement button on the back, the devices are even more compact and easy to handle. Available with 7“ to 9“.

Mobile Panels-Handwheel Varients

The failsafe KTP700F Mobile is also available in two variants with additional handwheel operation, either with a handwheeel only or with a handwheel and an override. The handwheel can be turned without a stop and does not have a zero position. To facilitate operation, the handwheel has a small recess. The override rotary switch has 19 positions. The zero and maximum positions are at the bottom. Both devices have the housing dimensions of a 9 inch Mobile Panel.

SIMATIC HMI KTP700F Mobile Arctic

Mobile Panel for low temperature area

The failsafe HMI device with a glass touch screen is designed for use in weather-protected areas with low ambient temperatures, e.g. in cold stores. Extended operating temperature range “Arctic” -28° – +45° C. Housing dimensions of a 9 inch Mobile Panel. A touch pen, which is placed centrally under the display, is integrated in the front, making it easier to operate the panel at low ambient temperatures.

SIMATIC HMI Unified Comfort Panels

Capacitive multitouch displays (in sizes 7 to 21.5 inches). The proprietary operating system based on SIMATIC Industrial OS offers maximum security. You can deactivate or uninstall the interfaces and system apps you don’t need. Despite their open structure and expandability, the panels are more secure than ever. Although the hardware and software development is fundamentally new, the Comfort DNA is unmistakable: Automatic system backup and high quality are an essential part of the Unified Comfort Panels. The new hardware offers much more power – for the secure execution of edge apps as well as for fast visualization. The system limits have been doubled at least, and tripled in some cases. That means a panel system can host much larger applications than before. Security and firmware updates are downloaded onto the devices directly via the TIA Portal or the SIMATIC Automation Tool. That means it’s easy to keep your devices completely up to date and enjoy maximum security for many years. The possibility to operate the Unified Comfort Panels with standard working gloves as well as the smart detection of operating errors (such as touching the screen with the ball of the hand) makes them ready for harsh industrial environments.
